The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) approved Wi-Fi 7 and future Wi-Fi standards in the 6 GHz band, making Pakistan an early adopter in Asia-Pacific.
The move enables ultra-fast speeds, low latency, 8K streaming, AR/VR, and industrial automation, while easing network congestion and cutting broadband costs.
PTA highlights this step as part of its mission to bridge the digital divide and support an inclusive digital economy.
